DocuDays (Beirut International Documentary Festival)

DocuDays, the Beirut International Documentary Festival, is the first festival in the Arab world exclusively dedicated to documentaries. It was founded in 1999 with the aim of raising public awareness for the non-fiction genre as an entertaining and informative tool. Unique in its area of expertise, location, and atmosphere, Docudays has become an established and well-attended event and an important meeting place for all fans—the professional, the novice and the general public.

A 2011 grant from the Cultures of Resistance Network helped produce the Beirut International Documentary Festival, which promotes both Arab and international filmmakers.

A 2009 grant from the Cultures of Resistance Network supported the production of the Docudays Festival’s catalogs, posters, flyers, and other materials.

American Near East Refugee Aid acted as the fiscal sponsor for these grants.
