Quatrième Voie (via Friends of the Congo)
Quatrième Voie is a flow of ideas created by the young people of the Democratic Republic of Congo, who, driven by the wind of democratic change in Africa, are also recognized as a citizen movement. The group aims to defend the rights of Congolese youth and raise awareness of civil rights and duties among youth.
A 2018 grant from the Cultures of Resistance Network supported Quatrième Voie’s three civic education and social justice programs: Civic Education, which works to educate communities in Kinshasa about their rights and responsibilities as citizens; Civic Training, which trains and educates young people on human rights and civics; and Caring for Activists, which defends and provides legal support for young activists who face imprisonment.
